The Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms in the Senate is the primary department in charge of security and safety of the Senate, the Senators, employees, guests and property. Among its tasks are the service of summons issued by Senate Committees and the maintenance of peace and order in the plenary sessions, chambers and committee hearings. It is mandated to receive electoral returns during Presidential elections. It also serves its functions during impeachment trial hearings.

The OSAA Precision Firing, November 7, 14,28, 2019

Under Senate Sergeant-at-Arms MajGen Rene C. Samonte, AFP (Ret), the Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms, Senate of the Philippines, conducted its first series of precision and proficiency firing for its personnel last November 7, 14 and 28, 2019.
